Luky is a Maltese, an esteemed breed of small dogs known for their silky white hair, loving temperament and cuddly nature. Even in their elder years, the Maltese breed maintains a high energy level and playful demeanor, making them an excellent companion for young and old alike.Why is he the South Motors mascot?
Aside from just being plain adorable, we chose Luky to be our mascot for many reasons, but it is his personality that best fits our company’s core principles. Luky’s attentive, caring nature and warm-hearted personality is the model we chose for South Motors so long ago - we have strived to treat every customer and employee like a family member. Since our first day of business so long ago, and every day since, we have sought to deliver on that pledge, and it is as much a driving force for us today as it was then. Luky, forever attentive, welcoming and spirited, seemed like a perfect representative for the values our company cherishes. He made his first appearance as our mascot years ago on the pages of the Miami Herald, and soon became a weekly feature in our ads. He now gets more newspaper time than most celebrities. The rest is “paw-parazzi” history!Why is South Motors involved in animal humanitarianism?
Whether upon two legs or four, we celebrate all walks of life. We have developed a relationship with the Humane Society and other welfare groups in hopes of creating a more humane world. Every living thing deserves to live in a world free of exploitation, cruelty or neglect, and we openly support organizations like The Humane Society that promote this idea. The Humane Society and the other animal welfare groups speak for those in this world who cannot speak for themselves. They are the front-line representation for the ethical treatment of our animals, whether they are our pets, our strays or our wildlife. We encourage everyone to donate what they can or volunteer time with the animal welfare group of their choice. From the preservation of the nation’s largest natural habitats to the welfare of the most destitute alley cat, together we can make this world better for all of us.
