South Motors Automotive Group is looking for artists submissions inspired by our “South” logo (see attached image). We will begin accepting submissions on March 1, 2012 until March 10, 2012.
After the two week submission process, the sketches and drawings will be posted on the South Motor’s Facebook page. Artists will have collect points by having people “Like” their posted images, along with our various dealership pages: South Motors, South Honda, South BMW, South Mazda, South Volkswagen, South Infiniti, South Mini, South Suzuki, Vista BMW, Vista Volkswagen, and Midway Ford Miami. A total of 12 points can be collected per person to be applied to a single artists point total.
The “Likes” will be tracked by which person likes each particular artist’s image. A person can only vote for one artist. If they like two or more artist’s images, their votes will not be counted.
After three weeks of voting, until March 31, the Top 5 artists will be announced. Each artist will receive $250, and turn their sketches and drawings into a full art piece. The pieces will be unveiled during Wynwood Artwalk on April 14.
On the day of Artwalk, the 5 pieces will be displayed and the gallery visitors will vote on the individual pieces. At the end of the night, the votes will be tallied and the top vote receiver will be announced. The prize will be $1,000.
The pieces will also be on sale for purchase, with the proceedings going to a charity of South Motors choice.
